God Bless the Internet

First and foremost I would like to wish all of my July birthday friends a very happy birthday. Lindsey, Jana, Susan, Christina & Ashlee-- love to you all. Secondly I would like to take this time to express my love and fond memories of Bill Settle who passed away last week. I can't find any pictures right now but will try to post some of me and Bill together. 

However, this post is mostly to comment on that fact that I am writing from my bed. That's right folks...wireless internet is back in my life. Thank you Dave Ray's friend who got the encryption info as I've been internet-less at home since I moved in : JUNE 26. I can breathe easy now. Woohooo!

Lakers Win, Haters Lose, Patterson House Wins

The Los Angeles Lakers have won the world championship (15th) and Kobe has grabbed his fourth while my man Phil took his 10th. Congrats to the team and all the Laker fans around the globe. For all the Laker Haters, specifically Chris Harbin and Bill Simmons: Suck it. Yes, that's right, suck it. 

While we're on the topic of winning and happiness....we went to The Patterson House last night for drinks and dinner-- it was a delightful experience. The drinks were parties in my mouth and the food was delectable. The best part is the slow, speakeasy atmosphere. When you have time to enjoy a professionally made beverage and a good conversation-- make the trip. Oh, and be sure to preserve the sexy.

Today I saw Star Trek today and loved it...check it out. Although I will note that Captain Kirk is super hot but I read is maybe dating Audrina from the Hills which makes him less fabulous.

First Blog

So basically, I'm the jam. Now that we done got that out of the way.

This is my blog, my first blog at that. I have lots of friends that have started blogging because they got married or had children but I've got neither...a marriage or a child that is. What I have is myself and my great friends and family. So to get things started here's a little about me:

1. Recovering work-a-holic

2. Working in corporate America at Nissan (and loving every minute of it)....ok, well I'm liking most of it.

3. My grandmother is one of my best friends and my closest family member.

4. I have the two cutest little sisters in the world. I'll try and post some pictures. Georgia is 7 and will be in the second grade next year and Iris is 5 and will be starting Kindergarten...both are gorgeous, speak multiple languages and super smart.

5. I couldn't ask for better friends....my usual suspects are: Bryn, Lacey, Katie, Christina, Susan, Ashlee, Wells, Cara, Matty, & Harbin. There are so many more that are equally awesome but the list would never end.

6. The Lakers just clinched the Western Division championship....whoop that trick.
